Flash On/Off Collection: Season 1 (1198–1205)
This set is characterized by a "dual-identity": in normal light, they appear as a sophisticated, fine-grain shimmer; under direct light or camera flash, they transform into a brilliant diamond-like explosion.
| Shade # | Official Name / Visual Color | Reflective Tone |
| 1198 | Silver | Pure, high-intensity crushed diamond flash. |
| 1199 | Champagne Gold | A pale, elegant gold with a cool silvery-gold flash. |
| 1200 | Blue Grey | A stormy grey-blue that flashes bright silver-blue. |
| 1201 | Rose Bronze | A warm mauve/tan that turns into a glowing copper-pink. |
| 1202 | Emerald Green | A deep, jewel-toned green with a bright lime-silver flash. |
| 1203 | Royal Purple | A rich, dark violet that pops with lilac-silver reflections. |
| 1204 | Sapphire Blue | A classic deep blue that transforms into a bright cobalt flash. |
| 1205 | Silver Pearl | A bright "White-Silver" that is cleaner and brighter than 1198. |
Key Performance Features
-
The "On/Off" Effect: This is not a glow-in-the-dark or neon effect. It is retro-reflective, meaning it only "turns on" when light hits it at a specific angle (like a camera flash or a direct LED spotlight).
-
Opacity: Unlike the Dalmatian or Muse lines, these are highly opaque. You can achieve a solid, professional look in 2 thin coats.
-
Texture: Due to the glass micro-beads, the finish can feel slightly "sandy" or textured after curing.
Pro Application Strategy
-
Preparation: Reflective particles are heavy and settle at the bottom. Stir the bottle or roll it vigorously between your palms before use to ensure an even distribution of the "flash."
-
Thin Layers: Applying these too thick can lead to "wrinkling" or uneven curing because the glitters block the UV light. Always do two thin layers rather than one thick one.
-
Smoothing the Surface: Because of the texture, these look best with a thick, high-viscosity top coat. Many artists use a layer of clear builder gel or "Star Top Gel" to level out the surface before the final no-wipe top coat to ensure the surface is glass-smooth.
