SAGA Professional Stamping Paint No. 08 (Yellow)

SAGA Professional Stamping Paint No. 08 is a bright, sunny Yellow. In the world of stamping, a good yellow is hard to find because the pigment is naturally more translucent—but SAGA has formulated No. 08 to be a high-density enamel that actually "pops."

This shade is essential for sunflowers, citrus designs, bumblebees, and vibrant geometric art.

Key Product Features

  • Vibrant Yellow Enamel: A solid, opaque cream finish. It is a "true yellow"—bright and cheerful without leaning too far toward neon or mustard.

  • Specialized Opacity: Yellow is one of the most difficult colors to make opaque, but this formula is designed to hold its own. It shows up beautifully on white and light bases, and maintains visibility even over darker colors.

  • Air-Dry Formula: This is a lacquer-based paint. It dries naturally in 15–20 seconds. No UV/LED lamp is required.

  • Sticky Layer: Like the rest of the core series, it retains a slight tackiness for a few seconds after transfer, which is perfect for foil casting (pressing gold foil onto the yellow for a gilded effect).

Professional Usage Tips

  • Maximum Pop: For the most "neon-like" brightness, stamp No. 08 over a white base.

  • Contrast Pairings: It looks incredible stamped over dark purple (complementary colors) or navy blue for a high-contrast, modern look.

  • Cleaning is Key: Because yellow is a lighter pigment, any residue from previous colors (like the green from No. 07) will ruin it. Ensure your plate and stamper are 100% clean before using the yellow.

  • Top Coat Caution: Yellow can sometimes be sensitive to certain top coats. To prevent any smearing, "float" a generous bead of top coat over the design so the brush doesn't disturb the paint.
